My retriever did the cooking

We had a cook out last night here in South Miami, south Florida.My retriever did the cooking.
When it was time to take the burgers off, all went well until the last one when there was a sudden flare up and the flames licked his paws.
He was rushed to Jackson Memorial, alas he had no health insurance, where he was treated for 3rd degree burns and serious singe, the bane of handsome red dogs.
